From Négritude to Kounatitude – celebrating the cultural identity of the Menoua
The 8th edition of the KOUNA Festival will be held from November 20–28, 2026 at the AFC esplanade in Dschang. This edition celebrates the culture, entrepreneurship, tourism and community spirit of the Menoua people.
The KOUNA Festival is an annual cultural event held in Dschang, capital of the Menoua Department. Born from a drive for cultural reappropriation around the concept of "KOUNA", it celebrates Kounatitude: the proud reclaiming of the identity, resilience and creativity of the Menoua people. The 8th edition runs from November 20–28, 2026 at the AFC esplanade in Dschang.
Culinary competition rewarding the best innovations around pork and local produce, with all ten regions of Cameroon.
Competition dedicated to innovation, entrepreneurship and business creation around the opportunities of the Menoua.
Fashion show celebrating local designers, stylists and craftspeople from the Menoua.
Election of the ambassadors of Kounatitude culture and values for the 2026 edition.
Showcasing the ancestral and folkloric dances of the Menoua Department.
Grand gala night featuring the KOUNA AWARDS, rewarding the best talents and partners.
In partnership with the Alliance Franco-Camerounaise de Dschang, La Route des Chefferies and the Commune of Vasanello (Italy).
